Candle Care

A little care makes every burn better

Each Eleganz candle is hand-poured to bring warmth, fragrance and a slower moment into your space. Follow these simple steps to enjoy a cleaner, more even burn from beginning to end.

1. Let the wax reach the edges

On the first burn, allow the melted wax to reach the edges of the jar. This usually takes around two to three hours and helps prevent tunnelling.

2. Keep the wick trimmed

Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 5mm. A shorter wick creates a steadier flame and helps reduce smoke and soot.

3. Burn for up to three hours

Avoid burning your candle for longer than three hours at a time. Allow the wax to cool completely before lighting it again.

4. Know when to stop

Clear candle jar with one centimetre of wax remaining

Stop using your candle when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the bottom. Burning it beyond this point can cause the jar to overheat.

A few gentle reminders

Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface and keep it away from draughts, direct sunlight and anything flammable.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from children and pets, and avoid touching or moving the jar while the wax is hot.

Natural wax has character

Because our candles are hand-poured using soy wax, you may notice slight changes in the wax after burning, such as an uneven surface or subtle frosting. These are natural characteristics of soy wax and do not affect the quality or fragrance of your candle.

Light it. Slow down. Enjoy the moment.

Treat your Eleganz candle with care, and it will fill your space with beautiful fragrance and comforting light, burn after burn.
